FADE IN:

INT. BUCAR – 6:15 P.M.
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2005

John Doggett and Dana Scully are on their way to a small bar to investigate claims that customers have had that aliens have taken over the bartender and the bar’s employees. Mulder received the call yesterday and was able to get his two agents out this afternoon. Neither John nor Dana are all that thrilled about the assignment, but at least since Mulder’s been in charge of the X-Files Division, there have been cases to work.

SCULLY
Your parents are coming up for Christmas, right?

DOGGETT
Yeah, my Ma called the other day, said my father
didn’t want to come since it’s so cold up in
Virginia this time of year than it is in deep south Texas.

SCULLY
I can talk to your dad, let him know we’ve had
warm weather this year. (beat) I miss the snow.
Never thought I’d say that.

Scully laughs.

DOGGETT
Made shopping the day after Thanksgiving go
smoother than usual, not having to tread
through snow to get to and from the mall to the car.

Scully smiles at Doggett, remembering back to how enthusiastic he tried to be while enduring her liking of Black Friday shopping.

SCULLY
I’m so sorry you went through that for me.

DOGGETT
(grins)
Nah, I really had a good time. Didn’t
think I would, but I did. It was a good
workout anyway. (beat) Too bad it got cut
short by Monica.

Scully looks at John, knowing how he feels about Monica and what she is going through, though she’d rather not talk about it, she feels horrible for having to force Monica to take the medication that John Montgomery wants her to take.

SCULLY
I’ve noticed you’ve been going to the
gym more often lately… any particular
reason for that?

She playfully pokes his upper arm.

SCULLY
(smiles, flirty)
Ooh… so firm.

DOGGETT
Not really. I guess I’m thinking about
how I’m not getting any younger and when
I’m much older I want to be of good health
and shape.

SCULLY
You should lay off those polish sausages from M Street.

DOGGETT
I know.

They share a look.

SCULLY
(nervous)
You know how I was thinking of inviting my
mother over for Christmas, and then changed
my mind?

DOGGETT
Yeah.

SCULLY
Well, my mother has decided to invite
herself over for Christmas this year.
I hope you don’t mind.

DOGGETT
I’m ok with it… are you? You seem
unsure about it.

Scully sighs.

SCULLY
I’ve told you that growing up my family
wasn’t there for me, right?

Doggett nods his head.

SCULLY
Well… my mom likes to deal with that guilt
by not treating me well, as in criticizing
my life… I mean, she actually thought Walter
was good for me, and she liked Scott. I’m not
sure what she’ll have in store for me now…

Saddened, Scully lowers her head and looks at her hands in her lap. John reaches over and places his hand on hers. He doesn’t need to say any words to let her know that everything will be all right, he’s here for her.

Scully shuts her eyes and listens to the Christmas music playing softly on the radio.

SCULLY
I’m so exhausted…

Doggett looks at her with concern.

DOGGTT
Have you been sleeping all right?

SCULLY
Yeah.

DOGGETT
(reassuring)
That’s good.

Scully glances at him, watching him. A soft smile is on her face. She gives his hand a small squeeze.

SCULLY
(quieter)
It helps me knowing that you know what
I’ve been through. Calms me, knowing I’m
not alone anymore.

Doggett looks at her with understanding in his eyes. Since she told him about her past, they’ve both felt their relationship and love for each other strengthen.

Doggett returns his attention to the road ahead of them.

DOGGETT
So… how do we want to approach this case?

SCULLY
Easy. I’ll take a blood sample of the
persons in question. Red blood, human.
Green blood, alien.

Doggett laughs, believing she’s cracked a joke.

DOGGETT
That’s good. Guess that humor comes with
knowing Mulder and Krycek too long, huh?

SCULLY
I’m serious, John. You know I told you that
I worked at that Facility as a scientist… we
did research on extraterrestrial beings in order
to create a vaccine against their virus. (beat)
Plus, I’ve been on the XFD for a little over
twelve years, almost thirteen, I’ve seen enough
and heard enough to know.

Doggett looks at her, unsure of what to make of what she’s saying.

DOGGETT
Alien virus? (beat) Dana, do you know
how ridiculous that sounds?

SCULLY
It’s the truth.

He’s still doubtful.

SCULLY
You trust me… right?

DOGGETT
(hesitant)
Yes… under normal circumstances.

SCULLY
What does that mean?

Doggett laughs to himself and rubs the back of his neck.

DOGGETT
Is this some joke set up by Monica to get
me back for all the times I’ve picked on her?

SCULLY
It’s no joke.

DOGGETT
(smiling/humored)
Ok. Prove it.

SCULLY
It’s hard to prove until you see it with
your own eyes. (beat) They’re coming you know.

DOGGETT
What?

Scully takes a deep breath. For months she’s wondered and worried about how to talk about alien colonization with him.

SCULLY
(soft/serious)
Aliens. They’re coming to colonize the planet.
A part of the government has known about this
threat since 1947, yet they’ve only in the past
twenty years, begun trying to figure out a way
to prevent it from happening.

Doggett can hear in her voice that she is serious.

SCULLY
When it comes time, I want you
to stay with me, ok?

Doggett’s heart is torn… he believes what she is saying because he knows she would not lie to him, but his mind still doubts the existence of extraterrestrials. He doesn’t know what to say so he remains quiet for a few long seconds.

Scully sits up straight and rubs her eyes.

DOGGETT
Need me to stop for coffee before
we get to Lou’s Keg?

SCULLY
I’m ok. Caffeine is only artificial
energy anyway. (beat) Are we almost there?

DOGGETT
Almost, a couple more miles.

Scully starts stretching her back and neck.

SCULLY
Darn airplane really did a number on my back.

DOGGETT
After we’re done talking with E.T., I
can give you a good old fashion back
rub back at the motel.

He smiles at her.

SCULLY
But Agent Doggett… male and female agents
can’t fraternize in the same motel room
while on assignment.

Scully leans over and kisses him on the cheek.

DOGGETT
Agent Scully… that wasn’t very professional…
guess a back rub is in order.

SCULLY
We’ll see, we surely don’t want OPR on us…
That reminds me, did you hear that Brad
decided to cancel going to Africa. He couldn’t
even get money back on the airplane tickets.

DOGGETT
Monica had talked about how she wanted
to go anyway even though it wouldn’t
have been for their honeymoon like they planned.

Scully gives him a look. Doesn’t seem much like Monica and Brad’s relationship has improved much since they called off their wedding last month. John and Dana both know it.

SCULLY
What would your ideal honeymoon location be?

DOGGETT
Well, Barbara and I spent our honeymoon
in New York City.

SCULLY
(smiles)
I didn’t ask about yours and Barbara’s
honeymoon – though that reminds me I’d
like to meet her one day – I asked what
your ideal honeymoon would be.

Doggett rubs the back of his neck. He doesn’t want to sound as if he’s been thinking too much about marrying her and their honeymoon.

DOGGETT
Paris would be nice.

SCULLY
The city of light-

DOGGETT
- The city of romance… what about you?

He looks at her.

SCULLY
Paris is nice… a cruise would be great
too. Or maybe renting a cabin deep in the Rockies…

DOGGETT
Indecisive?

SCULLY
Well, growing up I only ever thought about
how my wedding day would be. I could never
imagine myself out of a pretty wedding gown
so I never thought about the honeymoon. (beat)
And since I know exactly where I want my
wedding to be, I figured I’d let my husband pick
the honeymoon location.

They are quiet for a few seconds.

Doggett wonders if he should continue talking to her about marriage. I mean, he wants to propose to her someday, and he should at least know her feelings about them and marriage and their future before he does so, right?

DOGGETT
(hesitant)
So… what are your thoughts on marriage?

SCULLY
Marriage in general? Gay marriage? Us
marriage? (beat) I believe marriage is right
when two people, regardless of sexual preference,
want to spend their lives together, who respect
each other, and will love each other until they die.
Marriage is a good thing when it’s right.

She looks at him, he’s a bit uncomfortable. She knows he was asking about marriage and the two of them.

SCULLY
Johnny?

DOGGETT
Marriage as in you and me.

SCULLY
Ah… well… I can tell you that it’s not
something I’d see as a bad thing… one of these days.

She smiles at him and he returns it. They are silent again. John’s worried he’s made her uncomfortable by bringing this up.

DOGGETT
I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to
make you uncomfortable.

SCULLY
I’m not uncomfortable.

DOGGETT
But bringing that up now… that
wasn’t appropriate for-

SCULLY
- John, I can’t imagine myself being
happier or more in love with anybody
else… (beat) I’m glad you got that out in the open.

DOGGETT
Maybe I’m the one who’s uncomfortable.

SCULLY
- This is our exit.

Scully points out the window and Doggett turns on his blinker and pulls off of the highway.

DOGGETT
I guess I’m uncomfortable because I don’t
want you to think my bringing up marriage is
me pushing us to a stage we’re not ready for.
(beat) I want to do what’s right for you.

Doggett pulls into a parking lot outside a local bar named Lou’s Keg.

SCULLY
How about we think about what’s right
for us? (beat) You know, Walter never
talked about marriage before he proposed
to be both times.

The car comes to a stop and Scully unbuckles her seatbelt and gets out. Doggett does the same. He checks to make sure he’s got his weapon and badge. Scully’s far ahead of him, at Lou Keg’s front door.

SCULLY
(shouting)
C’mon Agent Doggett! We haven’t got all evening!

Doggett smiles and shakes his head, she must be as eager as he is to get this investigation over with to get back to the motel for that back rub.

INT. LOU’S KEG – CONTINUOUS – 6:35 P.M.

The bar is small and smoke-filled. A group of lazy-looking men and women are seated at the bar. Country music is playing over the muffled conversations, Patsy Cline, “Walking After Midnight”.

The door to the bar opens and Doggett and Scully enter. Doggett hears the music and leans down to whisper in Scully’s ear.

DOGGETT
(whisper)
Patsy Cline… Queen of Country.

Scully smiles, she has yet to get used to country music – it’s not exactly her favorite style of music.

Doggett looks up and sees an older man approaching them. The man is dressed nicely, slacks, dress shirt and jacket.

MAN
Are you two with the FBI?

SCULLY
Yes, I’m Agent Scully and this
is Agent Doggett.

Scully pulls out her FBI credentials for the man to see.

MAN
Like the Dodgers announcers Vin Scully
and Jerry Doggett. Vinny was my favorite.
Man did he make calling a game quite an experience.

Doggett and Scully share a look.

DOGGETT
I didn’t catch your name, sir.

MAN
Jerome Walker.

SCULLY
Are you the man who contacted the FBI?

JEROME WALKER
Yes, I did. (beat) Why don’t we have
a seat and I can tell you about my suspicions.

Doggett and Scully follow the man to a booth in a darkened corner of the bar. As they walk there, Scully notices that others are watching them, some holding in laughter. They get to the table, it has not been wiped down.

Jerome Walker pulls a pack of Morleys out of his shirt pocket and lights up a cigarette. He takes a few drags before he speaks. Scully sits by, trying to conceal that she is bothered by the stench of the cigarettes, it reminds her of the Cigarette-Smoking Man and what he did to her when she was at the Facility.

Scully coughs and tries unsuccessfully not to gag. She feels sick to her stomach.

JEROME WALKER
I’m sorry, do you have an allergy?

Scully nods her head.

SCULLY
Yeah, ever since I was a kid.

JEROME WALKER
I’m sorry.

Jerome puts out his cigarette in a nearby ashtray.

Doggett looks at Scully, he touches her hand subtly, intimately.

DOGGETT
(whisper)
You ok?

SCULLY
(whisper)
Yeah.

Her eyes assure him that she’ll be all right.

JEROME WALKER
As you can see I’ve been around for a long time,
eighty-five years. (beat) Back in the 40s I was
a navigator for the Air Force. I flew many missions
over France and Germany during the war. This one time…
I saw something in the sky. It didn’t look like any
aircraft I’d seen before. We didn’t have radar in our
fighter so there was no way of knowing where it was
headed, but I could never forget the sick feeling in my
gut when I saw this unidentified flying object…

Doggett knew this was coming, but he still looks at Scully: here we go again… some cockamamie UFO story. He’s not amused.

JEROME WALKER
That was back in 1944. I just attributed it to some
high-tech Nazi technology. It wasn’t until the UFO
crash at Roswell and Corona, New Mexico in 1947 that
made me think differently. I became obsessed with finding
out if what I saw in the war was extraterrestrial. I never
bought into that weather balloon lie that the government concocted.

Doggett looks at Scully again, he’s beginning to wonder if this Jerome will ever talk about what they were sent out to investigate… the bartender being an alien.

SCULLY
How is all of this relevant to why
you called us out here?

JEROME WALKER
My background, I want you to take me
seriously. I’ve researched aliens.
Found out they can shapeshift and make
themselves look human. That instead of
bleeding red, they bleed green.

Scully listens to Jerome as Doggett checks his watch, not really paying attention to what Jerome has to say. After over 5 years of being on the X-Files Division, John can tell when a person is being serious and when it’s all just a lie. It’s tiring for him, being on the X-Files, he feels his talent as an investigator is wasted.

SCULLY
You didn’t call us all the way out
here to tell us war stories. (beat)
What did you see here?

JEROME WALKER
Last week I was here, pretty late. Guy like
me finds it hard to keep a wife so I have
nothing better to do than drown my sorrows with
some cheap whiskey. So I’m leaving the restroom
and I see this woman, beautiful girl, never seen
her ‘round these parts before. I hear a glass
break off to my left, so I glance over, some drunk
has dropped his beer mug. I glance back over to this
woman, only what I see is her transform, morph
into the bartender.

Doggett rubs his hands slowly down his face. He can’t believe he’s listening to this.

DOGGETT
(deadpan)
Mr. Walker, did you ever stop to consider
that what you saw was caused by your
blood-alcohol level?

Jerome looks at him and then at Scully, worried he’s not being taken seriously.

JEROME WALKER
I was told by Assistant Director Mulder
that you’d listen with an open-mind.

SCULLY
(understanding)
I’m listening, Jerome.

JEROME WALKER
I read on a website that the aliens are
coming to take over the planet. (beat/fearful)
I’m afraid that they’re already here, among us,
colonizing before any violent attacks.

Scully knows this man’s ideas are true. The Syndicate has known aliens have been among the human race since the late 1940s. This comes as no shock to her. She looks at John, he’s growing impatient. She sympathizes with him, when she started on the X-Files it was hard for her to get used to talking to people who believed in monsters, Big Foot, ghosts, etc.

DOGGETT
What exactly did you want us to do here?

JEROME WALKER
If the bartender is an alien, I think you
two might want to grill him about when aliens
plan to attack. The more we know, the better
we can handle the situation, right? (beat) I mean
you two are the real men in black. I’m sure you
know more about aliens, viruses, and colonization than I do.

Scully leans in across the table, toward Jerome.

SCULLY
I can take fare of the issue right
here and now. Is this bartender working tonight?

JEROME WALKER
Yeah, he’s right over there.

He nods his head, indicating he’s behind the bar. Scully smiles and stands up.

SCULLY
Going to back me up or what, Agent DoggetT?

DOGGETT
(unamused)
Yeah.

He stands up.

JEROME WALKER
(worried)
You two be careful. This is serious.
Remember, stick ‘em in the back of the neck.

Jerome mimics a stabbing motion as Doggett and Scully approach the bar.

DOGGETT
For the sake of argument, let’s say this guy
is an alien. Then what? (beat) Judge, this man
is an alien and can morph into anyone he wants
you to believe him to be. I suggest 50 years
to life so aliens won’t come and take over our
planet. (beat) Dana, even you know that wouldn’t go over well.

Scully gives him a look to show she’s not impressed by his attitude toward Jerome.

They get to the bar and squeeze in between two large men who are this bar’s Cliff and Norm.

The bartender steps in front of Scully.

BARTENDER
What’re you having?

Scully flashes her FBI badge.

BARTENDER
(well crap)
You’re kidding me. I got my damn
license renewed a few months back.
Now the Feds are getting involved?

DOGGETT
What?

BARTENDER
My license to sell alcohol expired early
in the year. I forgot to renew it, got my
ass in some trouble over it until I got said
license renewed back in October. And now here you guys are.

SCULLY
We’re not here because of that. I’m here
to take a blood sample of all your employees.
We’ve been sent out to randomly test for
alcohol in your system.

The bartender looks back at one of his employees. He seems nervous.

BARTENDER
Oh, well, ok… sorry for the misunderstanding.
Do you need me to go somewhere else to do this?

SCULLY
Here’s fine. I have a kit in my car. If you
could stay here and Agent Doggett and I will be right back.

BARTENDER
Sure.

Scully eyes John and they leave the bar, walking to their Bucar.

DOGGETT
You don’t really believe in this crap, do you?

Scully sighs.

SCULLY
John, I told you, I know things about
what he’s saying. I believe he’s done
good research, but my opinion on the
bartender being an alien… I think Jerome
is a paranoid, old man who had one too
many drinks the night he believes he saw
that woman shapeshift.

DOGGETT
Why call us out here?

SCULLY
He’s lonely, has no one. Perhaps
he’s the joke of the two and by calling
the ‘men in black’ out, he’s trying to
prove to them that what he says is viable.

DOGGETT
Sure feels like a waste of time.

They get to the car and Scully opens the door.

SCULLY
John, remember, it’s good to keep
an open-mind, especially in the field we work.

Doggett rubs the back of his neck.

DOGGETT
Dana… I don’t know how to get you to
understand, but I can’t just blindly
believe in this stuff.

SCULLY
And you think I’ve always been this way?
(beat) I’m a scientist, John, it’s taken
hard science to convince me of these things
you have a hard time believing in. Trust me,
I know how you feel.

DOGGETT
I need to see it to believe it.
That’s how I work.

SCULLY
Me too.

She locks her eyes on his. He doesn’t know what to say, it’d take him seeing the sky falling before his eyes for him to believe it. It’d take him seeing an alien right in front of his nose to believe that aliens actually do exist.

Scully grabs her kit from the backseat.

SCULLY
Let’s go see he’s got red blood, and
then get back to the motel. It’s been
a long day.

DOGGETT
Now that sounds like a good plan to me.

Doggett and Scully head back into the bar.

CUT TO:

INT. FBI BASEMENT – 7:30 P.M.

Mulder is walking down the hall, pushing a large crate of canned food on a dolly cart. Alex Krycek is with him, wearing a FBI “Visitor” pass.

MULDER
You see, it doesn’t even look like
anything was changed down here since
I had construction done to make the
basement a nuclear bomb shelter.

Krycek pounds his fist on the wall.

KRYCEK
Yep, nice and solid. You really think
this basement will be able to stand
on its own when the aliens begin
attacking? The way I hear it, they
want to destroy everything so they can
rebuild the planet in their vision.

Mulder turns into his old office across the hall from John and Dana’s office.

KRYCEK
Sure seems quiet down here without
us causing a ruckus all the time.

MULDER
I miss it and at the same time I don’t.
I like being the Assistant Director in
charge of XFD. The respect I get now that
I’m out of the basement office, I really
like that. Even John and Scully treat me
differently at work.

KRYCEK
How are the two most skeptical XFD agents
handling being the only two assigned to the
FBI’s wackiest division?

Mulder goes up to a FBI emblem that hangs, framed, on the wall. He takes it off the wall and there’s a combination lock dial, he twists and turns it a few times.

Suddenly the wall on the other side of the room starts to move, opening like a bank’s safe door.

KRYCEK
Whoa! A secret passageway!

MULDER
It’s a refrigerated room so we can
store food while we’re down here
when the aliens arrive.

Mulder starts unloading the canned food onto shelves as Krycek walks through the large refrigerated room with his jaw dropped in awe.

MULDER
To be honest, I don’t really think John
likes working the X-Files, I feel like he
feels he should be somewhere else. You know
before he was assigned to the X-Files he was
on the fast track to the Directorship, I think
he wishes he were still going in that direction.

KRYCEK
What about Dana?

MULDER
(sighs)
I don’t know. If she doesn’t like the
assignment she doesn’t make it known.
I think that comes with her past of always
going along with things she doesn’t necessarily
agree with.

KRYCEK
That’s too bad… you know people should
be able to do whatever they want, right?

MULDER
Like you?

KRYCEK
I don’t do whatever I want.

MULDER
Yes, you do.

KRYCEK
No, I don’t.

MULDER
Yes, you do.

KRYCEK
No, I don’t.

MULDER
Yes, you do.

KRYCEK
No, I don’t.

MULDER
Yes.

KRYCEK
No.

MULDER
Yes.

KRYCEK
No.

MULDER
Yes.

KRYCEK
No.

MULDER
Yes.

KRYCEK
No.

MULDER
Yes, you do.

KRYCEK
Mulder, why do we always argue when
we both know we’re never going to agree
to the same thing and we keep saying
yes, no, yes, no, yes, no, yes, no, yes
no, yes, no, yes?

MULDER
I don’t know, but it’s funny.

KRYCEK
It is, isn’t it?

Krycek giggles.

MULDER
It is.

Mulder giggles.

MULDER
The funniest is when we do it with
other people in the room. Think of how
annoying it must be to a common bystander.

The two of them giggle again, longer than they should. They stop after a minute or two to catch their breaths. Krycek wipes a tear from his eyes, and lets out another laugh.

KRYCEK
We must be such pains in the butt!

MULDER
You’re just now figuring that out?!

They both laugh again.

MULDER
We’re been such assholes!

Mulder and Krycek both howl in delight.

Mulder’s cell phone rings. He giggles.

MULDER
Man, I need to get a ringtone.
(beat) Should I be a pain to whoever
is calling for the sake of memories?

KRYCEK
Do it!

Mulder picks up his phone and answers.

MULDER
Shut up!

Mulder hangs up. Mulder and Krycek giggle hysterically.

KRYCEK
Who was it?

MULDER
I don’t know, but my sides are splitting!

They laugh again and his phone rings again. Mulder calms himself. He answers his phone again.

MULDER
This is Mulder. I’m busy right now in
my new Bunkie. Call back later, but still
leave a message! Thanks! Beeeeep!

SCULLY
(muffled)
Mulder?

Mulder covers the phone mouth piece and mouths off “It’s Scully” to Krycek. They try to maintain no loud laughing.

SCULLY
(muffled)
Mulder. I know you’re there. Anyway,
I wanted to let you know that Agent
Doggett and I looked into this case and it
turned out to be nothing, just a conspiracy
theorist jumping to conclusions.

MULDER
I’m sorry, but you have run out of tape.

SCULLY
John and I will catch the morning
flight back to D.C. Bye.

Scully hangs up on him.

Mulder frowns.

MULDER
She hung up. Didn’t even realize I could
have been an actual answering machine.

KRYCEK
Bummer.

MULDER
Wanna see the sleeping quarters?

KRYCEK
Sure. (beat) You know if we’re going to be
the only humans to survive colonization by
staying in the bunker, we’re going to be solely
responsible for the preserving human culture.

MULDER
I know. We’re going to have to save a CD of
the best music of humanity like… “The Streak”
by Ray Stevens.

KRYCEK
That’s one of the best songs of all time!

MULDER
It must be preserved!

KRYCEK
I’ll need to bring the master copy of
”Robot 2000” down here. I will be responsible
for preserving the classics of the film
industry. We need to get a copy of “Hawaiian
Bunny” too… think we ought to go bother Alfredo?

MULDER
Absolutely, though… I think he moved so
we’ll have to use my access to the Bureau
database to find him.

Krycek laughs.

KRYCEK
There’s no escaping Mulder and Krycek! Bwa-ha!

And with that Mulder and Krycek close up the refrigerated room and head out of the basement to go find out where Robert Alfredo lives so they can pester him about still having their copy of “Hawaiian Bunny”.

CUT TO:

INT. MOTEL ROOM – 8:11 P.M.

Scully sits in the middle of the queen-size bed, Indian-style. Her eyes are closed and she’s breathing deeply, relaxing. The sound of the shower running in the bathroom is soothing. She’s wearing pastel pink pajama shorts with a matching sleeveless top. Her hair rests softly on her shoulders and she’s washed all makeup from her face.

The shower turns off indicating John will be joining her soon… to give her that old-fashioned back rub. Back rubs and massages are ways that she and John have been working on their physical intimacy without being sexual with each other. Through massage she’s learning to trust his touch, and to trust herself and her feelings.

The door to the bathroom opens and John walks out wearing only black sweatpants.

He sees Scully on the bed and smiles. She makes him so happy. He loves seeing her at peace with the world.

HE sits down behind her on the bed. Scully smells his moist, clean body. She inhales deeply. He places his mouth close to her ear, his breathing tingles every inch of her skin.

DOGGETT
(whispers)
Ready for that backrub…?

Scully opens her eyes and smiles upon hearing his voice. He kisses her on the back of the neck. She sighs and gently leans back into his bare chest. He wraps his arms around her waist and leans back against the headboard of the bed.

SCULLY
Actually this is quite nice…

She runs her hand across his arm which holds her.

DOGGETT
(soft)
You’re not cold are you…?

SCULLY
I’m comfortable.

He kisses her neck again and moves his hand over her abdomen, carefully sliding a couple fingers up underneath her silky pajama top.

Scully takes a deep breath to keep herself relaxed as he slowly slides his hand up to cup her bare breast. He gently rolls his thumb across her hardening nipple. Scully feels his growing erection pressing against her lower back. She shifts her body weight slightly and lets out a slow breath. She wants this, but unfortunately she’s still working on becoming more comfortable with John sexually.

DOGGETT
(quiet)
You ok?

Scully nods her head.

SCULLY
Yeah, I uh… I’m still getting used to
this physical intimacy thing, that’s all.

DOGGETT
Want me to stop?

Scully places her hand on the arm that is underneath her shirt, and slides her hand over his hand which rests on her breast.

SCULLY
It’s all right, Johnny… but nothing
further than this, all right?

DOGGETT
All right…

His voice is gentle and husky in her ear. Her heart beats with love for him. He treats her so well.

John rolls his thumb over her nipple again and kisses the back of her neck, his lips lingering on her skin a little longer than before. Scully quietly moans her approval and shuts her eyes to enjoy this.

SCULLY
(quiet)
That feels good…

Doggett grins as he feels Scully take another, more relaxed, deep breath, her body melting deeper into his. He rests his chin on her shoulder, and removes his hand from her chest.

DOGGETT
(quiet)
You make me so happy, Dana. I don’t
even want to think about what my
life would be like without you.

He wraps both his arms around her protectively.

SCULLY
(soft/ a bit disappointed)
Why’d you stop…?

DOGGETT
I don’t want to have to take
a cold shower later.

Scully laughs quietly.

DOGGETT
And I didn’t want to push us too far.
I want you comfortable.

Scully lifts herself and faces him. She leans down and places a lingering kiss on his lips. He knows how much she appreciates him not pushing her too far physically. She slowly pulls away from him and they slide down the bed into a lying position. Scully moves next to him, weaving her leg in between his and places her small hand on his bare chest.

SCULLY
(quiet/tender)
I can’t wait until we work through
this so I can make love to you.

DOGGETT
Me too… (nervous) I just hope I can help
you with that… that… problem… you’ve had
with other men you’ve been with…

Scully grins. His nervousness is charming.

SCULLY
(a little shy/quiet)
You mean my orgasm problem?

She doesn’t look him in the eye and weaves her fingers through his thin chest hair. Doggett rubs the back of his neck as his face changes to a color of red.

DOGGETT
Yeah… that.

He laughs to try to relieve how uncomfortable that made him feel. Scully looks up at him.

SCULLY
(soft/shy)
I don’t think you have anything to worry
about, John… just touching me like you did
has done something to me that hasn’t happened
naturally in a very long time.

She takes hold of his hand and slowly places it in between her legs.

John’s heart is pounding in his chest and he feels his erection growing again upon feeling how moist her center is. He shuts his eyes momentarily to control himself. Sex is totally out of the question tonight. Dana must have placed his hand there to help herself get more comfortable and trusting with him.

Scully uses her hand to press his hand against her covered center. She lies her head on his chest, her heart is pounding, feeling his hand in between her legs is exhilarating. She hears how quick his heart beat is.

SCULLY
(whisper)
Are you all right…?

John shifts his body a little, causing his hand to move slightly in between her legs.

DOGGETT
Yeah… you?

Scully looks up at him from lowered eyes, it’s a very sexy and seductive sight for John.

Her center is throbbing, aching with desire for him.

SCULLY
(quiet/seductive)
Well… if you keep shifting around you’re
bound to get me off tonight…

She sounds unsure if that’s what she really wants.

DOGGETT
(very quiet)
Is that what you want…?

He moves his hand so his entire palm cups her center. Scully moans and shuts her eyes. She parts her legs a little bit, her body wanting more. His hand feels so good pressed snuggly against her. She squeezes her eyes and a tear falls down her cheek.

SCULLY
(soft)
I don’t know… on one hand you’re making
me feel so good, and on the other I’m afraid
to continue and let myself go like that
for fear that it’ll trigger a flashback…

Doggett removes his hand from in between her legs and brushes a strand of hair from her face. He turns onto his side to face her. He kisses her forehead.

DOGGETT
Sweetheart… it’s ok, what you’re feeling
is a natural reaction to working this out.
(beat) Like you said… nothing further tonight, right?

Scully nods her head, relieved.

SCULLY
Sorry, I did that to you.

DOGGETT
You don’t have to apologize for anything, Dana.

SCULLY
I think I just wanted to see how far I
could get, and… and see how you’d react.
I don’t know, testing to see if you’d make me
do something even though I didn’t want to.

DOGGETT
You wanted to see for yourself that I
would stop if you weren’t ready?

Scully nods her head. He’s right.

SCULLY
Sorry.

He takes her hand and holds it in his, bringing it up to his lips and kisses it. He runs his thumb gently across her knuckles.

DOGGETT
Think of it this way… you’re already so much
better than you were a few months ago. Everything
we did tonight didn’t trigger you.

Scully smiles, glad he’s turned her disappointment with herself and tears into something positive.

SCULLY
Thank you.

Scully nuzzles against him, and gets comfortable. John pulls the sheet and blanket up to cover them.

SCULLY
Nervous about meeting my mother in a few weeks?

DOGGETT
Should I be?

SCULLY
I’ll warn you now, she’s not going to
like you. I think awhile back I told you
she tried to set me up with some rich
surgeon on my birthday. She doesn’t think
the FBI pays enough, she thinks money is
the key to happiness.

DOGGETT
Does she know you’re happy with me?

SCULLY
I’ve told her that, but she doesn’t believe me.

Doggett holds her closer to him.

DOGGETT
I don’t want you to worry about your
mother and I not getting along. Remember
how worried I was about you and my Ma?
And look how that turned out.

SCULLY
Johnny… my mom is nothing like your
mother. She doesn’t say these things
to me because she’s picking on me, she
says them because she means them.

DOGGETT
Well, I still don’t want you to worry.
I can deal with your mom.

SCULLY
My brother, Bill, is coming and my
sister, Melissa too.

DOGGETT
That’ll be nice.

SCULLY
Bill doesn’t like anyone I’ve dated,
not since Scott. He’s what you’d call
overprotective.

DOGGETT
I saw that ‘Tips for John’ thread
at Mulder’s forum. I’m sure I don’t
have to tell you that I’d never
do some of those things that Skinner,
and Krycek have done. (beat) It’s good
that he’s protective, means he looks after you.

SCULLY
(sad)
I haven’t seen him I years, we don’t exactly
have the best relationship. (beat) Can we not
talk about my family? It really brings me down…

They are quiet for awhile, listening to the silence of the room.

DOGGETT
Other than that issue over Africa,
Mon’ and Brad seem to be doing all right.

SCULLY
I guess so… I still feel like they haven’t
talked about the problems they have. (beat)
I think she needs this time on her own, away
from him. To be independent for awhile.

DOGGETT
Like what you did when you got back.

SCULLY
Yeah.

DOGGETT
So, I’m thinkin’… when would you want
to consider moving in with me?

Scully doesn’t answer right away. She’d love to move in with him, but she’s hesitant to say “yes” right now.

SCULLY
Oh, I don’t know. My lease expires
the end of February next year…

She looks up at him and smiles.

SCULLY
Why don’t you ask me around then
and we’ll see how I feel.

DOGGETT
Sounds like a plan to me.

SCULLY
You’d have to hang up those pictures you
have leaning up against the wall in your
dining area.

DOGGETT
You know I’d do anything for you.

SCULLY
Why haven’t you hung them up?

DOGGETT
Well, when I first moved to Virginia when
I began at Quantico, I started to, as evidenced
by the picture hanging on the wall in my
living room, but I got so busy at the
Academy that I never got back to hanging them
all up, got used to them being there on the ground.

SCULLY
You’re so weird.

DOGGETT
Weird? You’re the one who got all nervous
and put Corn Flakes, orange juice, maple
syrup, turkey sandwich meat, and salsa in
a pot and tried to cook it.

Scully pokes her finger into his side, tickling him.

SCULLY
Shut up… I was nervous, I needed
something to do to help ease it.

DOGGETT
(grins)
You cooked something that Buddy
wouldn’t even eat.

He laughs.

DOGGETT
And here I thought little Bud’
would eat just about anything.

Scully laughs too.

DOGGETT
So what did Mulder have to
say about the case?

SCULLY
Well, it was very Mulder. He pretended
to be a voice mail recording. I think
he was hanging out with Alex.

Doggett shakes his head.

DOGGETT
Sometimes he’s a great A.D….

SCULLY
… and then sometimes it just baffles
you as to why he’s in that position at all.

DOGGETT
Exactly. (beat) Speaking of work… it crossed
my mind a few times… I’ve been thinking about
requesting transfer out of XFD.

SCULLY
Oh?

DOGGETT
First and foremost because we’re involved.
I think we’re great partners, but I don’t
want our job causing any extra problems
in our relationship. I’m not speaking from
experience, but I’ve heard that couples who
work together in our field can end up having
problems that tear them apart. I don’t want
that to happen to us. (beat) Second… speaking
honestly here, I’m just not happy in the X-Files
assignment. To this day I still wonder why Kersh
assigned me to the division. The paranormal isn’t
my expertise, I feel I could benefit a division
where I’m not constantly faced with aliens, ghosts, and
whatnot, you know?

SCULLY
I understand. (beat) Do you know where you
want to transfer to?

DOGGETT
I don’t know, but I think looking back over
my career in the military, with the NYPD, and
in the FBI… I’m thinking a desk job would suit
me, less field work, maybe a supervisory position.

SCULLY
And if they transfer you to another field office?

DOGGETT
I hope it doesn’t come to that… but if it does…

John doesn’t know how to say this.

DOGGETT
I would hope you’d come with me.

SCULLY
Even if that meant me leaving the Bureau?

DOGGETT
Yes.

He knows this is asking a lot of her. It’s asking her to give up her career in the FBI to be with him while he pursues advancement in the Bureau.

Scully nods her head, hesitant at first, and then a smile forms on her face as she realizes that she would follow him, and if she couldn’t get a transfer with the Bureau, she’d retire and get another job wherever they wound up.

SCULLY
(content)
Johnny, I’d follow you anywhere.

She moves up and gives him a kiss on the cheek. She lies back down, a big grin on her face. He caresses her shoulder and upper arm with his hand. Everything seems to be falling perfectly into place for them.

DOGGETT
(quiet/loving)
Semper fi…

Scully smiles, she loves it when he tells her he loves her with the words “semper fi”, it’s so meaningful to them both.

SCULLY
I love you too.

She shifts her body to a more comfortable position and closes her eyes. John looks down at her and smiles. He glances over at the digital clock on the nightstand. It’s 8:57 P.M.

DOGGETT
Dana, what’re you doin’? It’s nine o’clock.

SCULLY
Thought I’d fall asleep since I’m tired,
but if you think it’s too early, you can
always give me that back rub.

Scully rolls onto her stomach, and lies her head on her arms. She looks at him with a sweet look on her face. John places his left hand on her back and moves it slowly up and down.

SCULLY
You know you’ll have to do this
again tomorrow, airplanes make me so sore…

DOGGETT
You’d think I’d need one of these
considering how tense I get on planes.

They both laugh.

SCULLY
You’ve gotten better since that
one time when we all went to London.

DOGGETT
I guess I have… I’m not making my
knuckles white from gripping onto
the seat armrests anymore.

Scully’s cell phone rings. Scully lets out a sigh as John reaches over the nightstand and answers it.

DOGGETT
Hello? (beat) Yeah, she’s here. Hold on.

He covers the mouthpiece.

DOGGETT
It’s Robert Alfredo.

He hands Scully her phone.

SCULLY
Hello?

INT. ALFREDO’S APARTMENT – CONTINUOUS

Alfredo is standing in his living room, in the background we see Krycek jumping on his couch, and Mulder running around the room with his arms out like an airplane.

ALFREDO
(annoyed)
Dana, can you talk to Mulder or
Krycek and tell them to leave me alone?

A young brunette woman walks past him, angry.

WOMAN
Goodbye, Robert. I thought you were
a better man than this.

She storms out of his apartment.

ALFREDO
(to Scully)
Alex told my date they came over for
the scheduled orgy, and now the nicest
woman I’ve ever met has left and I’m sure
I’ll never see her again.

SCULLY
I wish I could help you…

ALFREDO
They’re acting like wild monkeys.
Alex is jumping on the couch.

SCULLY
Mention how much Marita would disapprove.
That should stop Alex. Bye.

Scully hangs up on him. Alfredo looks at his phone and then at Alex.

ALFREDO
Alex! Marita would not approve of this.

KRYCEK
So!

Krycek continues jumping on the couch.

ALFREDO
Oh gee… look at this, I still have
Marita’s number in my speed dial.

KRYCEK
Liar!

Krycek keeps on jumping.

Alfredo hits a button and holds the phone to his ear. After a beat:

ALFREDO
Hi, Marita, it’s Robert. (beat)
I’m fine other than having Alex and
Mulder acting like wild monkeys – (beat)
Yeah, hold on. I’ll get him for you.

Alfredo holds the phone away from him.

ALFREDO
Alex! Marita’s on the phone for you!

Krycek stops jumping on the couch.

KRYCEK
You bluff.

ALFREDO
You believe that? Then come
see who’s on the phone.

Krycek cautiously approaches Alfredo. Mulder stops running around and watches. Krycek takes hold of the phone.

KRYCEK
(hunky punk)
Hello, this is Alex “sexy” Krycek.

His eyes go wide as he hears Marita’s voice on the other end.

KRYCEK
(pathetic)
Marita, Snuffles… I’m sorry, I didn’t
know it was you otherwise I would have
behaved from the day I was born. (beat)
No, I’m not lying, my Marita darling, moochy-smoochy…

Even Mulder and Alfredo cringe at that, you, the reader, are not alone.

KRYCEK
All right my Marita Lynn. I’ll apologize
and come home to you. (beat) Yes, I realize
we don’t live together yet, though you’re
my loving wife. (beat) I love you too. (beat)
I love you more.

Krycek giggles.

KRYCEK
No, no. I love you the mostest. (beat)
Love you. (beat) No, I love you more, Snuffles.

Mulder looks at Alfredo.

MULDER
He’s going to carry on like this if
we don’t stop him. So here’s the deal…
you give us our “Hawaiian Bunny” video
back and I’ll help you stop him.

ALFREDO
I told you, I already returned it, just
not in the original case because I lost
that. I put it in a blue Maxell case.

KRYCEK
(on phone)
I love you… no, no, no, I love you more
than life itself. (beat) Lovey dovey with
whip cream cherries on top, love you to
bits and pieces.

Mulder bites his lower lip, this is getting painful.

MULDER
Ok, I’ll help you, not because I
believe you, but because I’m really
annoyed with him too.

As he’s saying this, Alfredo is walking up to Krycek and he takes the phone away from him.

ALFREDO
Thanks Marita, bye.

Alfredo hangs up and looks at Krycek. He looks pathetically sad, his lower lip is pouting out.

ALFREDO
She says to leave me alone and go to her.

KRYCEK
Mulder?! What’re we doing here?! C’mon!

Krycek grabs Mulder’s hand and runs to Alfredo’s front door. He opens it and they leave. Alfredo goes to the door and locks it. He goes back to his couch and fixes the cushions and plops down.

So much for his date tonight thanks to Mulder and Krycek. He lets out a heavy sigh.

TIME CUT TO:

INT. MULDER’S OFFICE – 10:11 A.M.
WEDNESDAY – DECEMBER 7, 2005

Mulder sits at his desk, looking over the field report Scully brought up to him an hour ago. He can’t believe he goofed and fell for a case that wasn’t really an X-File.

There’s a knock on his office door. Mulder looks up.

MULDER
Come in.

The door opens and John Doggett stands in the doorway.

DOGGETT
Sir, do you have a moment? There’s
something I need to talk to you about.

Mulder takes off his reading glasses.

MULDER
I’ve always got time for my agents.
Have a seat.

Doggett comes into the office and takes a seat in front of Mulder’s desk.

MULDER
What’s on your mind?

DOGGETT
I’d like to request a transfer
to a different division.

The expression on Mulder’s face is as if his heart has sunk.

MULDER
(concerned)
Am I unaware of problems
between you and Agent Scully?

DOGGETT
My request has nothing to do with mine
and Agent Scully’s partnership.

MULDER
Is it something I did or didn’t do?

DOGGETT
No. I feel it would be in the best interest
of mine and Dana’s relationship for us not
to work together. And not to be disrespectful,
sir, but I don’t feel I’m really cut out for
this assignment, in fact I’m still not sure
why I was assigned to the XFD in the first place.

Mulder sighs.

MULDER
Do you have any preferences to which
division you’ll be transferred to?

DOGGETT
I think a desk job would be ideal,
maybe something to set me back on
track in climbing the ladder.

MULDER
I’ll need to talk with Deputy Director
Kersh about this. I’ll let you know what
I find out. (beat) And I’ll tell him you
want to stay here in D.C.

DOGGETT
Thank you.

Mulder stands up, John follows his lead. They head to the door.

MULDER
Will I be receiving your case
report later today?

DOGGETT
yes, before lunch.

They exit the office and walk down the hallway.

MULDER
So how are you and Scully doing?

DOGGETT
We’re doing good.

MULDER
She told me you two shared
a room last night.

Doggett’s eyes go wide, he rubs his neck.

DOGGETT
Sir, I’m sorry about that. There’s
no excuse why I broke FBI protocol.

MULDER
Doesn’t matter to me, sharing a motel
room is a lot less offensive than some
of the things I’ve seen at those weekly
Directors meetings. Say… would you mind if
I suggest you work with A.D. Follmer in the
Office of the Director, in OPR?

DOGGETT
That doesn’t sound half bad. I’d love that.
Thank you, sir.

Mulder stops at the elevator. He presses the up button.

MULDER
Going up?

DOGGETT
Down, actually. I’ll take the stairs.
It’s good to get a little exercize.

Mulder smiles.

MULDER
Tell Scully we’ll get her a new partner ASAP.

DOGGETT
Will do.

The elevator door opens and Mulder gets in and presses a button to go up to Kersh’s office.

INT. KERSH’S OFFICE – CONTINUOUS

Kersh is sitting behind his desk. He holds a framed photograph if his wife and children in his hands. He doesn’t seem to be his usual self, he’s sad.

Mulder quietly knocks on his door and enters his office. He notices Kersh’s mood.

MULDER
I’m sorry, sir, did I come at a bad time?

Kersh looks up at him and opens a desk drawer and places the photo inside.

KERSH
How can I help you, Mulder?

Mulder comes into the office and sits down across from Kersh.

MULDER
Agent Doggett has requested transfer
to another division for personal reasons.

KERSH
I assume the personal reason is his
relationship with Agent Scully.

Mulder doesn’t have to answer, most everyone in the Bureau is aware of John and Dana’s relationship.

KERSH
They’re smart, realizing early on that
the job could interfere with their personal lives.

MULDER
Sound like you know what you’re talking about.

Kersh gives him a sad grin.

KERSH
Linda and I met when we worked together
at the Denver field office in the late 80s.
She knew I was ambitious, wanting more than to
be a field agent. Once we had our first kid,
everything changed. She retired, and wanted me
to leave the Bureau too. I insisted that I didn’t.
Years went by and things got worse and worse.

MULDER
I’ve heard.

KERSH
She left me about a year ago, moved
back to Cleveland where her family
lives, took our kids with her. (beat)
The divorce was finalized yesterday evening.

Mulder looks away from Kersh, not sure what to say.

KERSH
Lesson is… don’t let the job come
between you and those you love because
you’ll end up losing them when it’s all said and done.

MULDER
Then it’s a good think John and Scully
realize the job can do that and are
taking steps to keep that from happening.

KERSH
I assume Agent Doggett wishes to stay
here at Headquarters?

MULDER
I thought I’d recommend him to OPR.
(beat) Brad could use some help there,
he’s been dealing with internal investigations
on his own since he received the promotion.

Kersh nods his head.

KERSH
Sounds like a good idea to me. I’ll
call Agent Doggett and offer the position
to him. It’s about time he get out of that basement.

MULDER
Sir… if you don’t mind my asking… why
was John assigned to the X-Files five years ago?

Kersh grins and looks a bit guilty.

KERSH
Ted and I noticed how lonely he seemed to be
and thought we’d get him introduced to Agent
Scully since she and Walter had broken off
their engagement back then. I thought I’d play
”Match Maker” and pair them up… see if anything would happen.

Mulder blinks his eyes. Did he hear that right?

MULDER
(deadpan)
You assigned him to the X-Files to
hook him up with Scully?

Kersh smiles.

KERSH
They’re both happier now than before, aren’t they?

Mulder shakes his head in disbelief.

KERSH
Outside of my own relationships, I think
I have a knack for knowing who will work
out best with whom, don’t you think?

MULDER
You played “Match Maker”… demoting a
great agent in order for him to meet Scully.
(beat) Sir, may I ask what the hell kind
of decision is that?

Kersh shrugs his shoulders.

KERSH
A stupid decision, I obviously wasn’t
thinking about what the Bureau needed,
but you know it all worked out for the best.

MULDER
True…

KERSH
Well… you better get to finding
a new partner for Agent Scully.

Mulder stands up.

MULDER
Will do, sir.

Kersh picks up his phone and dials. Mulder leaves the office.

KERSH
(on phone)
Agent Doggett, this is Deputy Director
Kersh. I’d like to speak with you in my
office about advancement and transfer.
(beat) Yes, that fast. (beat) Ok, I’ll
see you in a few minutes.

Kersh hangs up.

TIME CUT TO:

INT. SCULLY’S OFFICE – 10:47 A.M.
MONDAY – DECEMBER 12, 2005

John is packing up the last of his belongings and placing them in a cardboard box to take up to his new office in OPR.

Scully sits at his old desk, watching, a little smile on her face. She’s happy that he got this promotion.

SCULLY
It’s going to be so weird down
here without you.

DOGGETT
I’m sure you’ll get along find without me.

He winks at her.

Scully stands up and walks over to his side.

SCULLY
I’m the only original X-Files agent
left down here. Mulder recruited some
green agent right out of the Academy.

She leans against the desk and crosses her arms across her chest.

DOGGETT
(amused)
Are you pouting?

SCULLY
No. Why would I be?

DOGGETT
Oh, I don’t know… you’re losing
the best partner you ever had down here.

SCULLY
I can’t help it, I love working with
you, Johnny. We make a great team.

DOGGETT
Dana…

SCULLY
Don’t get me wrong, I agree this
transfer will only help us in the
long run, but I’m going to miss having
you around all the time.

Doggett sighs, he knew she was a little disappointed about him transferring out of the X-Files Division. He goes to her and kisses her on the lips briefly. This cracks a smile on Dana’s face.

DOGGETT
I love you.

SCULLY
(cocks an eyebrow)
Agent Doggett… is that appropriate for work?
You are in OPR now…

Doggett kisses her again, he holds the back of her neck with his hand. After several beats he removes his mouth from hers and keeps his face close to hers.

DOGGETT
Bet you never thought I – of all
people – would do that, huh?

SCULLY
No… I like this side of you…

Doggett gently rubs his nose against hers, giving her an Eskimo kiss.

WOMAN
(off screen)
Oh my gosh! Like what are you doing?!

Upon hearing the mortified and annoying tone in this woman’s voice, John and Dana part and look at the doorway where she stands. Her eyes are bugged. She has short blond hair, styled like Scully’s.

SCULLY
You must be my new partner.
I’m Dana Scully.

Scully extends her hand to shake.

WOMAN
Leyla Harrison.

SCULLY
And this is John Doggett-

LEYLA HARRISON
Dogbert?!

SCULLY
Doggett.

LEYLA HARRISON
(accusatory)
Why are you with him? I don’t think
Mulder would approve of you fooling
around behind his back.

Scully looks at John, not sure what Leyla is talking about. Doggett picks up the cardboard box and heads toward the door.

DOGGETT
You coming over tonight after work?

Scully nods her head.

LEYLA HARRISON
She can’t. She and Mulder have a date.

Scully raises an eyebrow. What is this?

SCULLY
(to John)
Yeah, I’ll see you after work.

Doggett looks at Leyla.

DOGGETT
It was nice meeting you, Agent Harrison.

LEYLA HARRISON
Wish I could say the same, but I refuse
to like any man who comes between my
Mulder and Scully.

DOGGETT
Sure.

Doggett leaves the office and walks down the hallway to the elevator. He can hear Leyla’s obnoxious voice in the hallway.

LEYLA HARRISON
(off screen)
Scully… why was that man flirting with you?

SCULLY
(off screen)
We’re seeing each other.

LEYLA HARRISON
(off screen)
Oh no, no. that’s not possible.
I heard at the Academy that people call
you Mrs. Spooky. Mrs., and I think we
both know who’s nickname is Spooky.

The elevator door opens. Seems like on his first day working with Brad in OPR that he’ll have an agent to report for odd behaviour.

Doggett enters the elevator and hits the button to the fourth floor.

Finally after five years of being held back in the X-Files Division, he’s moving on up.

FADE OUT:

THE END
