Hehehe, bet you all can guess who she's talking about. Well Monica is in trouble AGAIN! I think trouble does just follow her around like a little lost puppy! Lots of mean bad guys with lots of threats and plans. A wedding date has been for Monica and Brad! Woohoo! *checks own shedule* Yep I'm free for their wedding!

Summary: Monica goes to visit her brother Antonio at the Sing Sing Correctional Facility in Ossining, New York. While there, a prison riot breaks out and she must be careful not to let any of the inmates know sheís a Federal Agent.


FADE IN:

INT. SING SING MAXIMUM SECURITY CORRECTIONAL FACILITY Ė DAY

OSSINING, NEW YORK
JUNE 29, 2005 Ė WEDNESDAY

Monica Reyes sits patiently, staring blankly at the glass in front of her. Being in a Maximum Security Correction Facility has her nerves high. The last time she saw her brother, Antonio Reyes, was back in January 2004. At that time Antonio and Carlos had taken her as their ďhostageĒ, only to find out that Carlos wanted Monica to marry Chino Gonzalez so Carlos could ďpay upĒ on a problem he had caused. Antonio was opposed to this problem, and has always been protective of Monica Ė especially when Carlos and Chino were involved. Itís been a year and a half almost since sheís seen Antonio. The last she heard from Antonio was that he helped assist in the Chino Gonzalez-Carlos Reyes case while she was in New Mexico with under cover agent, Robert Comer.

Monica is glad that Antonio is doing his time and getting his name cleared, but she wishes he were at a different facility that doesnít house two-thousand inmates with bad reputations. Antonio isnít exactly the maximum security risk that the others are. All Antonio has done is bank robbery, and no one was killed Ė by Antonio that is. The trouble with that is Antonio worked with Carlos, and at the time, Carlos was uncontrollable and people lost their lives. Now, Carlos is also doing his time after the authorities caught up with him in New Mexico. But Carlos is not here at Sing Sing, rather he is spending his time at the Levenworth Correctional Facility in Levenworth, Kansas Ė far away from anything that he could cause problems with.

Monica lets out a sigh. She only wishes that her brothers would have behaved in their lives. Sheís not even sure how they got mixed up in illegal activities. Perhaps they are the reason why she decided against becoming a teacher and pursued law enforcement.

A guard stands by on the other end of the room to give privacy for when Antonio is brought out to speak with Monica. Despite the guard being there, Monica canít help but be nervous. The facility echoes of noise from deep with in the wall from the inmates. Monica looks around the visiting area with her eyes. The white walls remind her of the Strughold Research Facility she was held captive at not far from here. This makes her uneasy.

A loud buzzer echoes through the empty visiting area, startling Monica. The door opens from the other end of the room. Antonio is led into the area in handcuffs, and a bright orange suit with DOC on the back. He is escorted by a guard, who un-cuffs Antonio and then leaves him and Monica alone. Antonio sits down in front of her. The glass is between them and Antonio picks up the phone so he can talk to Monica, who also picks up the phone.

ANTONIO
Hey.

His eyes look behind her at a clock on the wall. Itís a little before nine in the morning. Guard shift change will be happening soon. Antonio shifts in his seat, seeming a little uneasy as he looks at Monica and smiles.

MONICA
Hi.

ANOTNIO
Itís good to see you again.
How are you doing?

He knows about what happened to her at the facility, and about what happened with the Chino-Carlos case, and how Enrique Reyes broke out and took her to Coronoa, New Mexico to remind her of how her biological parents died. Heís glad to see that she looks healthy.

MONICA
Iím good. You?

ANTONIO
Well, considering where I am,
everything is fine. (beat) Iíll
be meeting with the Parole Board
next month, so hopefully they
will take a look at my good behavior.

MONICA
Well, you did help the FBI with
the Chino problem Carlos got mixed
up with in New Mexico.

Antonio smiles and nods his head.

ANTONIO
Yeah. Seems to be something I
have to do a lot in my life.

He laughs a bit at how often he has had to stop Carlos in the past.

ANTONIO
So how are you and Brad?

MONICA
Weíre doing good. (beat) He got
promoted to OPR earlier this month.

ANTONIO
Thatís good. I know heís wanted
that for a while. He mentioned it
when he came down to meet the family
in March of last year. Shortly after
you went -

Antonio stops himself. Monica probably doesnít want to talk about the time she was taken in March of last year.

ANTONIO
(coughs; changes subject)
So how has OPR been working out for him?

MONICA
Itís been great because he doesnít
tolerate bad behavior. (beat)Weíve
also set a date for our wedding.
Itís going to be down at Mama and
Papaís in Mexico.

ANTONIO
Iím sure Papa loves that. Whenís the date?

MONICA
November 12th, a Saturday. (beat)
I wish you could be there, Antonio.

ANTONIO
Me too.

Antonio looks down, wishing he were out of this place too.

ANTONIO
Be sure to tape it for me.

MONICA
We will, but it wonít be the same.

Antonio looks at the clock again. Monica notices.

MONICA
What is it?

Antonio looks back at her. Monica tries to tap into Antonioís mind with her ability, but she canít Ė and probably shouldnít to give people their privacy. She knows her ability has been hard on Scully.

MONICA
Have they given you a time limit?

ANTONIO
No, everything is fine.

Something is obviously on Antonioís mind that he isnít telling her.

ANTONIO
Have you chosen a Maid of Honor yet?

MONICA
I have one in mind, but I havenít
asked her yet. (beat) So are they
treating you well here? No oneís
giving you a hard time?

ANTONIO
Iím doing fine. Although some of the
inmates donít like me since they found
out I helped the Feds a while back.

This worries Monica and her expression shows it.

ANTONIO (CONíT)
(noticing her reaction)
Donít worry. No oneís done anything
to me. (beat) And besides, they canít
be as difficult to take care of as
Carlos was. (beat) Iím fine.

Antonio smiles again, and Monica nods. Itís a good thing Antonio doesnít take any crap from anyone.

MONICA
Iím happy you are doing your
time and going to start with
a fresh slate. (beat) Once you
get out of here, what are your plans?

ANTONIO
Not sure yet. Iím definitely
not going back to robbing banks.
(beat) The food here is enough to
convince me to behave for the rest
of my life.

He laughs and Monica smiles.

ANTONIO
Itís nothing like Mamaís or Grandmamaís.

MONICA
It never could if they tried. (beat)
Will you go back to Mexico,
or stay here in the States?

ANTONIO
I was thinking of staying
in the States. You know, starting
fresh here. Besides, I would be
closer to you and weíve been
far apart for too long.

Antonio looks at the clock again. After nine in the morning. The guard shifts have changed.

ANTONIO
They donít like me talkiní too
long, Monica. (beat) You should
head on out of here so we can
both continue on with our day.

MONICA
(nods in agreement)
Yeah, with my new boss, Iíll
probably have some case to work
on when I get back this afternoon.

ANTONIO
Good luck with that.

MONICA
Thanks. (beat) Itís good to see
you again. (beat) Iíll see you
another time, probably before
you meet with the Parole Board.

ANTONIO
All right. Give my best to Brad,
and tell him congratulations on
the promotion.

MONICA
I will. (beat) Bye.

ANTONIO
Bye.

They both hang up the phones and Monica stands up and heads towards her escort guard. Antonio watches her leave, then stands up. A guard handcuffs him and takes him out of the visiting area.

CUT TO:

INT. HALLWAY Ė CONíT

Monica and the guard make their way towards the main area so she can collect her belongings and head back to D.C. to see what case Mulder has waiting for her.

MONICA
How long have you been working here?

GUARD
Five years.

MONICA
Five years in corrections?

GUARD
Five years here at Sing Sing.
Iíve been in corrections for
fifteen. (beat) Started out with
local jails.

MONICA
This must be more difficult, huh?

GUARD
A lot more to deal with. Iíve only
had to deal with some escape attempts,
and breaking up fights. Nothing too
bad, considering we always have to
expect the worst. (beat) Never met
a federal agent who has a brother
in here though.

Monica smiles.

MONICA
Guess thereís a first for
everything, huh?

Loud yelling can be heard echoing through the hallway. The guard becomes alert. The yelling sounds very loud and very close... not where it should be.

MONICA
I canít imagine what-

She is cut off when she hears the loud shouting get louder and closer to where she and the guard are walking. Suddenly a loud alarm goes off. Monica looks around with wide eyes.

MONICA
(knowing)
No...

GUARD
(keeping his cool; urgent)
Lock down. Quick, this way!

The guard tightly grabs hold of Monicaís arm and runs with her down the hallway, hoping to get her out before the lock down is complete. This is no place for a woman to be, especially since sheís a federal agent.

SUDDENLY, the guard is knocked to the ground by an inmate, who was hiding behind the corner of the hallway. The lead inmate grabs Monica, and the others drag the guard deep inside the facility, making Monica and the guard hostages to their riot.

CUT TO:

INT. SING SING CELLBLOCK B Ė CONíT

Chaos and mayhem have broken out on the cellblock. Inmates have over powered the guards, and some guards have been killed or are seriously injured.

Antonio is trying to make his way through the chaos to get back out to where Monica could be. He hopes she is not in here and that she got out on time, but he needs to make sure. If any of these thugs find out sheís here and that sheís a federal agent, her life could be in serious jeopardy.

RAFAEL
Where you goiní?

Antonio is stopped in his tracks by Rafael Ė a large man with a large muscular build and a goatee on his face. A scar is on the left side of his face from a fight long ago.

ANTONIO
Whatís it to you?

Antonio tries to pass him, but Rafael blocks him. Another inmate comes up next to Rafael. This inmate, who goes by the name ďSpiderĒ because of a tattoo he has on his arm of a spider, is shorter than Rafael, and has less of a muscular build, but still possesses a mean ďdonít mess with meĒ look.

SPIDER
(to Antonio)
I hear your sister is visiting.

Spider smiles and Antonio gives him a look.

SPIDER
I bet sheís a knock out. (beat)
Wouldnít you think so Ralfie?

RAFAEL
Yeah, I would love to get
my hands on her. (beat) I
love to see a woman cry in fear.

Rafael smirks at Antonio.

RAFAEL (CONíT)
You really think she got out on time, Latino?

ANTONIO
(keeping his calm)
I donít know what youíre talking
about. (beat) Sheís not here.

SPIDER
Heís lyiní, man. I can see
it on his face. (beat) Sheís here.

Antonio pushes by them and walks away. Rafael and Spider watch him go.

RAFAEL
You better hope we donít find her first.

Antonio ignores them and continues with what he was doing. He has no doubt that they would do something to Monica and he doesnít want that to happen. Rafael and Spider are the two inmates who are giving him the biggest hassle about helping the Feds with the Chino Gonzalez case. And Rafael and Spider have followers who are growing just as angry, thus putting Antonio in a dangerous position himself.

CUT TO:

INT. TONYíS PIZZERIA Ė DAY

Knowle Rohrer and Shannon McMahon enter the restaurant. Itís not a busy day at all and two of the employees stand behind the counter watching the television with the breaking news of the prison riot at Sing Sing. One of the employees looks over at the door and sees Knowle and Shannon.

EMPLOYEE
Have a seat anywhere.

KNOWLE
Thanks.

Knowle and Shannon take a seat at a table by the window. Knowle smiles at her and she picks up a menu. She is not to be pleased with him. Knowle eyes her for a moment, then picks up a menu. His mind isnít on the food though and he nervously eyes Shannon from time to time.

KNOWLE
Did you know that Tonyís won-

SHANNON
-Sheís not here yet.

Knowle stops talking about what he was going to say and looks at Shannon nervously, then slowly looks around the empty restaurant.

KNOWLE
(after a beat)
I guess not. (beat) Shaní, I uh...
Iím sorry about what happened between
us, you know?

Shannon glares at him and then looks back down at her menu.

SHANNON
Itís fine, Knowle.

Thatís a lie if ever he heard one.

KNOWLE
No Shaní, itís not Ďfineí. (beat) I
donít want you thinkiní that I just
run off with random women from time
to time. (beat) I donít want you to
leave me again. (beat) Iíve cleaned up.

Shannon looks up from her menu with doubt.

SHANNON
Right. But you see Knowle, thatís
exactly what you did. And now here
we are waiting to meet one of your
mistresses. (beat) If youíve cleaned
up Ė like youíre claiming Ė then can
I ask you a question?

KNOWLE
Yeah.

SHANNON
Why are we meeting up with one
of your mistresses?

KNOWLE
Because I want to clear the
air here, Shannon. (beat) She
helped me be able to help Monica
when she was in trouble. (beat)
Sheís a nice person and I just...
I donít know, Shaní. Sheís... (beat)
Thereís nothing more between she and I.

Shannon rolls her eyes, becoming frustrated with him again.

SHANNON
(unenthusiastic)
Fine. Iíll humor you.

She looks back down at her menu, breaking eye contact with Knowle, who sits uneasy as he realizes there is still tension between them. A few months ago Shannon left Knowle because ďthings werenít working outĒ because he was sleeping with Marita Covarrubias for information Ė although Shannon didnít know, nor did she want to listen to his reasons Ė as to why he was mixed up with Marita. He screwed up and she didnít want to forgive him and move on. Thatís what heís trying to do with her today.

MARITA
Knowle?

Knowle and Shannon look up at Marita Covarrubias, standing by their table.

KNOWLE
Marita, hey.

Knowle stands up to greet her with a handshake. Shannon watches on, not liking her one bit.

MARITA
Itís good to see you again.

KNOWLE
Yeah. (beat) Iíd like you
to meet Shannon.

Marita looks down at Shannon and smiles.

MARITA
Hi, itís nice to meet you.

KNOWLE
Shannon, this is Marita. (beat)
The informant that helped-

SHANNON
(not sincere)
- Nice to meet you, Marita.

Shannon and Marita shake hands, with tension coming from Shannon, who still isnít thrilled to be meeting one of Knowleís mistresses.

KNOWLE
(to Marita)
Have a seat.

Marita and Knowle sit back down just as a waiter comes up to their table.

WAITER
Are you ready to order?

KNOWLE
Probably just drinks right now.

WAITER
All right.

SHANNON
Iíll have a raspberry lemonade, please.

MARITA
Iíll have your iced tea.

The waiter turns to Knowle, who is looking at the menu.

WAITER
And for you, sir?

KNOWLE
Uh... Iíll have a beer, in
the bottle, please.

Shannon gives him a look that shows her disapproval of him drinking alcohol early in the day - another problem between them.

WAITER
All right, Iíll be back with those.

The waiter walks off.

MARITA
So Shannon, Knowle tells me that
youíve known him since childhood.

SHANNON
(cold)
Yes, I have.

MARITA
(staying friendly)
That would mean that you also
know John Doggett and Monica
Reyes, right?

SHANNON
Yes, I do. (beat) John, Knowle,
and I were in the Marines together.
(beat) We served in the Gulf War.

MARITA
Well, itís so good to meet more
of their friends. (beat) I used
to think they were all back in Texas.

Marita smiles.

SHANNON
(cold)
Well obviously, theyíre not.

Shannonís words continue to come off extremely cold to Marita. Marita senses this.

MARITA
Do you mind if Iím a little
forthcoming for a moment?

Shannon doesnít say a word and just looks at her with a numb expression.

MARITA
I get the feeling you donít like me.

SHANNON
(to Knowle; sarcastic)
Sheís smart for a blonde. Must
not be your usual blonde bimbo.

KNOWLE
Shaní-

MARITA
-Itís all right, Knowle. (beat) I
can understand how she feels about
meeting me. (beat) Iím sorry that
I got involved with him.

SHANNON
Oh no, itís quite all right. Iím
sure he led you to believe he
was single. Am I right?

MARITA
We never spoke of it with each other.
(beat) I had information that he needed.
Then one day things... got out of line.
(beat) I never meant any harm to you.

SHANNON
(coldly)
No. Iím sure you didnít.

Shannon glares at Marita.

The waiter comes over with their drinks. He is oblivious to the tension around the table.

WAITER
One raspberry lemonade.

He sets the glass in front of Shannon.

WAITER (CONíT)
One iced tea.

He sets the glass in front of Marita.

WAITER (CONíT)
And one beer in the bottle.

He sets the bottle down in front of Knowle.

WAITER
Are you ready to order?

SHANNON
(not breaking glare)
Not yet, thank you.

WAITER
All right.

The waiter leaves. Knowle sits uncomfortable. He had hoped to clear the air between them a lot sooner than this. In fact, he thought it would be a lot smoother than this. He is greatly mistaken.

KNOWLE
Can we just clear-

SHANNON
-This is me Ďclearing the airí, Knowle.

Knowle nods his head and sits back, taking a drink of his beer.

MARITA
I wanted to help him get my friends
out of that place. (beat) I knew he
could get in and out of there and
not look suspicious. (beat) Thatís
all it was. Nothing more.

SHANNON
(cold)
You didnít have to sleep with him, dear.

Shannon glares at Marita. This is going to take a long time...

CUT TO:

INT. BRAD FOLLMERíS OFFICE Ė DAY

Brad Follmer is busy signing documents to be passed along to the Director. There is a knock on his door.

BRAD
Come in.

He doesnít even look up as his secretary, Kim Cook, enters his office.

KIM COOK
(worry)
Sir?

Brad looks up and takes off his glasses when he hears the worry in her voice.

BRAD
(concerned)
What is it?

KIM COOK
(worry)
I just heard that a riot broke
out up at Sing Sing, and I know
Monica mentioned that her brother
was up there and that she was going
to visit him today...

BRAD
Is it on the news?

KIM COOK
Yes, sir.

Brad gets up from his desk and turns on the television. His paperwork can wait. The news has interrupted regularly scheduled programming to bring news of the prison riot up at Sing Sing. Brad stares at the television as the reporter shows images of the facility from the outside. Reinforcements have been brought in and are surrounding the building.

REPORTER (ON TV)
As you can see behind me, the prison
is completely surrounded. There are rumors that
guards have been taken hostage and their
lives are at risk if the demands of the inmates
are not made. (beat) At this time we have
no further news on the condition of any of the
guards or visitors that are trapped inside.
What we do know is that inmates have taken and
are holding control of the prison. We will
continue to bring you news of further developments.
(beat) Bob, back to you.

Kim watches Brad, knowing how worried he must be for Monica.

KIM COOK
Iím sorry, sir.

BRAD
Thank you for letting me know.

Kim nods her head and hesitantly leaves his office. Brad goes over to his desk and picks up his phone, dialing Kershís extension number.

KERSH (FILTERED)
Kersh.

BRAD
Itís Brad. Sir, Iím requesting
permission to leave for personal
reasons. (beat) Itís important.

KERSH (FILTERED)
Whatís going on?

BRAD
Prison riot up in Ossining. Monica
is there visiting her brother. (beat)
When they get her out, Iím going to be there.

Bradís tone tells Kersh itís better to agree because heíll go anyway.

KERSH (FILTERED)
(hesitant)
All right.

BRAD
Thank you, sir.

Brad hangs up the phone, signs the last document on his desk, picks it up and heads to the door.

CUT TO:

INT. SING SING CORRECTIONAL FACILITY Ė DAY

Monica and a few prison guards, including the guard who tried to get her out (now conscious), are all tied up and surrounded by inmates. Including Rafael and Spider. Rafael has made himself the leader of this riot since he was part of the mastermind behind it. He stands in front of the hostages, who have all been tied up. Spider stands behind them, carrying a gun, taunting them with it.

RAFAEL
All of this that is happening today
has a meaning. A purpose. (beat) Unlike
many in the past, this is not petty or
stupid, or thoughtless. This riot
has a mission.

Rafael stands before them as if he has authority over the entire world.

RAFAEL (CONíT)
I know you have families and loved
ones at home. They are probably
watching the news about this riot
and are worried for you. Some of you
will return home to them, and others
will not. That is entirely up to you.
(beat) All I want right now are a few
answers. Nothing more, nothing less.

Rafael nods at Spider, who cocks the gun behind the first guards head.

RAFAEL
(to guard)
I know you have a newborn daughter
waiting for you at home with your
pretty little wife. Am I right?

GUARD 1
Yes.

RAFAEL
Do you want to live through this?

GUARD 1
Yes.

RAFAEL
Then tell me... is there
a federal agent in this prison?

GUARD 1
(hesitant)
Yes.

Rafael looks at him menacingly for a moment. He smirks at the guard.

RAFAEL
You live.

Rafael moves on to the guard next to the first guard. He nods at Spider who puts the gun to the back of the guardís head.

RAFAEL
(to guard 2)
There is a federal agent in
this prison. (beat) Who is he?

GUARD 2
(fearing for his life)
I donít know. I swear to God, I donít know.

RAFAEL
Too bad for you.

He gives Spider a look. Spider shoots the guard in the head. He and Rafael move onto guard 3, the guard they knocked out who tried to get Monica out before the lock down was completed.

RAFAEL
There is a federal agent in
this prison. (beat) Who is he?

The guard glances over to Monica quickly. Not sure what to do. If he doesnít expose her as the federal agent his life is over and his brains spill on the floor. He and the first guard are the last remaining guards. Itís all up to him. Expose her and live, or lie and be killed. He guard shuts his eyes feeling he has no choice.

GUARD 3
(after a beat)
The woman. Sheís the fed.

Monicaís eyes go on Rafael.

Rafael smiles at the guard.

RAFAEL
Thank you.

He nods at Spider, who blows the guards head off anyway. Rafael and Spider go over to Monica.

RAFAEL
So youíre a fed?

Monica doesnít say anything to him. Rafael smiles.

RAFAEL
Do you know what we do to
feds in here? Huh? (beat) Do you?

MONICA
You touch me and-

She stops talking when she feels the hot barrel of the gun placed on the back of her head. Rafael looks up at Spider and smiles.

RAFAEL
You donít get it yet, do you?
(beat) I have control of this
place. I decide who lives and
who dies. I make all the rules
now. (beat) Do you want to live?

MONICA
Yes.

RAFAEL
Then answer my question. (beat)
There is a fed on the inside here.
(beat) What is his name?

MONICA
I have no idea.

Spider pushes the gun on her head to drive more fear into her, hoping to drive the truth out of her.

MONICA
I donít know!

RAFAEL
Iíll ask you again. Do
you want to live through this?

MONICA
Yes, I do. But I donít know
if there is another fed here.
I donít know. (beat) If there
is, itís not my business or
my area of expertise. (beat)
So go ahead and shoot my head
off. Go ahead. Killing a federal
agent will look beautiful on your record.

Rafael smiles at her. He likes her defense. He likes her temper. And heís sure heíll like more about her as time goes on. Sheís out numbered here.

RAFAEL
To live through this, you will
do everything I tell you to do.
You will speak when I tell you
to speak. If you disobey me,
youíll be joining the others in Hell.

He stands up and walks away from her.

MONICA
Youíll need me in here!

The other guard looks at her in fear. Why the hell would she blatantly ignore what he just said to her? Rafael turns and goes up to her. He grabs the gun from Spider and puts it on her forehead.

RAFAEL
Did you say something, Latina?

MONICA
Yeah. I said youíll need me in here.

RAFAEL
You keep this up and I promise you
this: I will rape you, let all of
these fuckers rape you, and then Iíll
rape you again until you die. Do you
want that? Because I will do that to you.

He pushes the gun to her head some more. She shuts her eyes, not wanting to deal with this.

RAFAEL
You keep your pretty little
mouth shut and youíll live.

Monica opens her eyes and looks at him.

MONICA
Youíll need me because I am a fed.
Youíll need me for negotiations so
you can get what you want out of this.
If you hurt me or harm me in any way,
there will be hell to pay and you know that.

Rafael hits her hard across the face, cutting her lip from his force.

RAFAEL
Donít say another word. Or Iíll
keep my promise to you. (beat)
Iím sure you donít want that,
and I know these guys wouldnít mind
getting a piece of you.

He smirks at her and then walks away, leaving her to her own thoughts of knowing that she is in a world of shit.

She looks over at the other guard, the only one who survived by telling the truth. Monica looks at the guard suspiciously. The last guard told the truth and he died. Why not the first one?

Rafael sits down at a small table across the room with the other inmates. They talk in hushed tones.

Monica watches suspiciously and looks over at the guard again.

MONICA
(quiet)
Hey.

The guard looks over at him and makes an expression for her to keep her mouth shut.

MONICA
Whatís your name?

GUARD
Shh.

Monica looks over at the table surrounded by inmates. No one is paying attention to them.

MONICA
Theyíre not paying attention.
(beat) Whatís your name?

GUARD
Edward.

MONICA
Edward. How long have you been here?

EDWARD
Couple months. (beat) Now shut
up unless you want to get us killed.

Monica does as he asks. Heís only been here a couple of months and already the inmates know he has a newborn daughter and a wife at home? This doesnít add up.

CUT TO:

EXT. SING SING CORRECTIONAL FACILITY Ė DAY

A bucar pulls up and Brad quickly gets out of the passengerís side and makes his way towards the area where the head negotiator is located. Guards try to stop him, but he flashes his FBI credentials and is let through.

The area is filled with many SWAT agents, local law enforcement, and federal agents.

BRAD
Iím Assistant Director Brad Follmer
with the FBI, I need to speak with
whomever is in charge here.

Out of a crowd of agents, Special Agent Robert Comer emerges.

COMER
Iím Agent Comer. Iím in charge.
What can I do for you, Assistant Director?

Brad approaches Comer.

BRAD
Whatís being done to bring
this to an end? Weíve got
one of our own in there.

COMER
Yes I know. Heís undercover,
weíre on top of the situation.

Brad freezes. Undercover agent?

BRAD
Weíve got an undercover
agent on the inside?

COMER
Isnít that who youíre talking about?

BRAD
No.

This situation just doubled in seriousness. Two federal agents on the inside.

BRAD (CONíT)
A female agent is in there. She
was visiting her brother today.

Comer nods his head, keeping his calm.

COMER
Come over here with me, please.

Comer leads Brad over to a table where everything is laid out.

COMER
Whatís her name?

BRAD
Monica Reyes.

Comer looks up with concern. Monica Reyes Ė again. The last time he met up with her was in New Mexico when he was dealing with Chino Gonzalez. Comer nods his head, acknowledging to Brad that he heard him.

BRAD (CONíT)
Iím her fiancé. She left early
this morning. Iíve tried to call her
to see if she was out, but there was
no answers on her cell.

COMER
Youíre sure sheís on the inside?

BRAD
Yes. She wouldíve called me by now.

Comer nods his head and looks at Brad. Comer can see how much Brad cares for Monica. He can see how worried he is for her.

COMER
(after a beat)
All right, sir, Iím going to have
to ask you to step down from this
situation. We donít want personal
feelings to get in the way of judgment.
(beat) Weíll do all we can to make sure
she and our other agent get out safely.

BRAD
(stern)
Iím not stepping down. I can handle
this. (beat) Who is your direct superior?

COMER
A.D. Skinner.

Brad nods his head.

BRAD
A.D. Skinner is not here. Consider me
the representative from Headquarters
overseeing the operation.

Comer gives him a look. He doesnít want Brad here.

Comer rubs his temple in slight frustration. He canít exactly tell Brad to go away now that heís made himself the representative from Headquarters.

BRAD
What are their demands?

COMER
They havenít made any.

BRAD
They havenít made any? How
many hours has this been going on?

COMER
It happened after nine this morning.

Brad looks at him in shock.

BRAD
(holding back anger)
Itís now after noon. Whatís being
done about this? We canít just
sit here and let them control
this situation, Agent Comer.

COMER
I know, sir. Iíve got my men
working on finding out where
they are all located so we
can get a better picture of what
is going on in there. Iíve also
shut off electricity, water and
air conditioning.

Brad glares at him. This riot has been going on for three hours and this guy hasnít done a damn thing. Brad takes a breath to keep his cool.

BRAD
Why is there a UC agent in there?

COMER
Rumors of corrupt guards. Mistreatment
of inmates. (beat) Then we received word
that a prison riot was going to happen.

Brad looks at him. He knew about his riot and didnít do anything about it?

COMER
I know what youíre thinking, sir.
We knew about this, why didnít we
stop it, right?

Brad nods.

COMER
We needed to know who started it
and why. If there is a corrupt guard-

BRAD
-People die in riots, Agent Comer.
Did that even cross your mind when
you were allowing rumors of a riot
to be ignored? You couldíve informed
the warden of the situation.

COMER
For all we know the warden could
have been corrupt. We couldnít risk
blowing the cover of my guy or the case.

BRAD
But risking innocent lives, thatís acceptable?

Comer doesnít answer him. Brad glares. How could anyone make this kind of foolish mistake that could cost the lives of many innocent law enforcement agents and any civilians that are trapped inside?

Brad lets out a breath to calm himself again.

BRAD
Can you handle negotiations?

COMER
Iíve dealt with many hostage
situations in the past. All
of which ended in my favor.

BRAD
Every situation is different, Agent Comer.

Comer gives a slight glare at Brad.

BRAD
(after a beat)
Get on top of this and report
everything back to me.

Brad walks off after giving him a stern look. Comer watches him walk off for a moment and then turns back to his work.

CUT TO:

INT. SING SING CORRECTIONAL FACILITY Ė CONíT

Antonio walks down an empty hallway of the prison. Heís in an area where he can hear the communications between inmates and authorities on the outside, but no other inmates are seen in the hallway.

SPIDER (O.S.)
(hushed tone)
... heís heading out through
the Underground Tunnel.

Antonio stops when he hears Spiderís voice coming from around the nearest corner in the hallway. Antonio leans close to the wall so itís difficult to see him.

RAFAEL (O.S.)
Good. We want that to go
smoothly. And as soon as
Billy J. is out, things will
start looking up in here.

SPIDER (O.S.)
What about the fed?

RAFAEL (O.S.)
Which one?

SPIDER (O.S.)
The woman.

RAFAEL (O.S.)
Weíll us her up for all
sheís good for.

Spider laughs deviously. Antonio continues to listen in on their conversation.

RAFAEL (O.S.)
Weíll be in the clear when
these stupid demands are made.

SPIDER (O.S.)
(laughing)
Cops are so dumb. They have
no clue whatís really going
on with Billy J. (beat) I
canít wait to see their faces
when they realize that heís gone.

Antonio slowly walks away from Rafael and Spider before he is noticed. If this riot is just a decoy to distract authorities that Billy J. Ė one of the most dysfunctional inmates who has been locked up in solitary confinement Ė is breaking out, then he has to find a way to let people know. Billy J. is not one that should be out in the public amongst citizens. He is dangerous. Very dangerous.

CUT TO:

INT. TONYíS PIZZERIA Ė DAY

Shannon and Marita are alone talking at the table. Knowle is no longer sitting with them. The tension between Shannon and Marita has not lifted, and it probably wonít any time soon as Knowle had hoped.

Across the restaurant, Knowle has found himself a seat at the bar drinking another beer. Heís watching the breaking news on the prison riot at Sing Sing. Heís aware that Monicaís brother, Antonio, is up there. He just hopes Monica wasnít visiting when the riot broke out this morning.

Behind him, Alex Krycek enters the restaurant.

KRYCEK
(to employee)
Hey whatís up, man?

EMPLOYEE
Not much. Slow day.

Krycek takes a seat next to Knowle.

KRYCEK
Give me a pizza, Iím starving.

EMPLOYEE
Cominí right up. Anything to drink?

KRYCEK
Yeah. A beer. Can I have
it on the house?

Knowle gives him a look. Who is this punk?

EMPLOYEE
And risk loosing my job?
(beat) I donít think so.

KRYCEK
Dammit. Iím DA Man, I
should get free beer.

The employee walks away. Knowle turns his attention back to the television.

KRYCEK
(to Knowle)
Can you believe the nerve
of some people? Geez!

Knowle ignores him.

KRYCEK
Why are you watching the news?
(beat) Itís so boring. Put on
ďBaywatchĒ or something.

KNOWLE
Iím guessing youíre the kind who
doesnít realize what is going on
in the world, huh? (beat) Besides,
I have a friend who is doing time
where this riot is taking place.

KRYCEK
Cool.

Knowle looks at him. Cool? How can that be ďcoolĒ?

EMPLOYEE (O.S.)
Hey Krycek! What toppings
do you want on your pizza?

Knowle looks over at Krycek. This guy is Krycek? The man responsible for what his friend Monica had to endure at The Facility? The same man who tried to kill John Doggett? Knowle glares at Krycek.

KRYCEK
(to employee)
Everything!

EMPLOYEE (O.S.)
All right!

Krycek watches the TV.

KNOWLE
So youíre Alex Krycek?

KRYCEK
(DA Man)
You heard of me? Probably
my blockbuster hit ďRobot 2000Ē.
(beat) Did you want my autograph?

Knowle glares at him, and Krycek is oblivious to the fact that Knowle would rather rip Krycekís little head off and play basketball with it.

KNOWLE
(menacing)
No. Iíd like to ring your
scrawny little neck.

Krycek gulps in fear. Knowle is bigger than him.

KRYCEK
Why?

KNOWLE
You hurt my friend Monica Reyes.
You tried to kill my Marine
brother, John Doggett.

KRYCEK
Oh please! That was forever ago.

KNOWLE
And they still have to live
with what you did to their lives.

Knowle takes a sip of his beer.

KNOWLE
(serious, threatening, intimidating)
Iíd watch your back if
I were you. (beat) You
donít cross ďThe RoarĒ.

With that, Knowle gets up and leaves the bar and goes back to the table where Shannon and Marita are talking.

KRYCEK
(taunting)
Ooh... Iím so scared. Iíve seen
your kind before. (beat) Youíre
all talk, no action.

Knowle turns around and looks at Krycek. He comes back over to him.

KNOWLE
(low harsh whisper)
Is that so, Pee-Wee?

KRYCEK
(DA Man)
Yeah. You donít have
the guts to touch me.

Knowle glare at Krycek, sets his mug of beer down on the counter and looks down at Krycek. Knowle then grabs the front of Krycekís shirt, lifting him off his feet to be at eye level with Knowle.

Krycekís eyes bug.

KRYCEK
(amazed)
Whoa! Youíre like Darth Vadar!

KNOWLE
Look how easy it is for me to
pick you up off your feet.

Krycek looks down at the ground.

KRYCEK
I see...

KNOWLE
Now imagine what I can do to
you if this is so effortless
for me. (beat) Maybe not today,
maybe not tomorrow. Maybe not in
a week, but someday Iíll have you
right where I want you, runt.

KRYCEK
(appauled)
Hey! How did you know thatís
one of my nicknames? Punk!

Knowle glares at him.

KRYCEK
(mad)
Can you put me down?

KNOWLE
You donít even realize the
extent of what you have done,
and how badly you have crossed
me. (beat) Iíll be watching you.

Knowle sets Krycek back down on the ground and gives him a mean glare. Knowle picks up his beer and walks over to the table where Shannon and Marita are. Krycek gulps in fear. It's a good thing this big guy doesn't know The Janitor who works at the FBI.

KRYCEK
Yeah, like Iíve never heard that before!

Knowle sits down next to Shannon at the table and gives Krycek another menacing look that sends chills down Krycekís spine. With wide eyes, Krycek quickly runs out of the restaurant.

CUT TO:

EXT. SING SING CORRECTIONAL FACILITY

Brad is talking to the head SWAT agent on scene.

BRAD
Remember that we have two of our
own in there. Agent Comer has the
details on the UC agent, so be sure
to get that information from him
before you and your team head in there.

HEAD SWAT AGENT
Yes, sir.

The head SWAT agent walks away from Brad, just as another agent comes up to him.

AGENT
Sir, thereís someone inside
who says he needs to speak
with someone in charge.

BRAD
Did he give his name?

AGENT
No sir.

The agent holds out a radio for Brad.

BRAD
(into radio)
This is Brad Follmer with the FBI.
Who am I speaking to?

ANTONIO (FILTERED)
Antonio Reyes.

BRAD
What do you need?

ANTONIO (FILTERED)
I overheard a couple of inmates
say that the real reason behind
this riot is to distract everyone.
(beat) Inmate Billy J. Tyran is using
this as a distraction so he can break out.
(beat) Also, I should let you know that
Iím working as an undercover agent.
I was approached by Agent-

BRAD
-Robert Comer?

ANTONIO (FILTERED)
Yes.

BRAD
All right, Antonio, do you know
where this inmate plans to escape from?

ANTONIO (FILTERED)
A place inmates like to call
the Underground Tunnel.

BRAD
Ok. I want you to follow him
and stop him. (beat) Weíre
doing negotiations right now
and if all else fails, weíll
be resulting to SWAT.

ANTONIO (FILTERED)
Is Monica out?

BRAD
No. Sheís not.

There is silence on the other end.

BRAD
(after a moment)
Antonio, are you still there?

ANTONIO (FILTERED)
Yeah. Iím here.

Antonio doesnít sound happy to hear that Monica is stuck inside. He had hoped she got out, but had a feeling she didnít anyway.

ANTONIO (FILTERED)
(after a beat)
Iím going to have to go dark to
follow this guy. (beat) The Underground
Tunnel can be seen on blueprints of
this facility. Itís underneath the
basement and runs to about ten miles
away from here. Heís probably already
down there. (beat) Iíll do my best to
stop him, but if you know anything about
Tyran, heís dangerous.

BRAD
Weíll send in reinforcements for you.

ANTONIO (FILTERED)
Thanks. (beat) Iím out.

BRAD
Good luck.

The radio goes dead indicating that Antonio is on his way to find Billy J. Tyran in the Underground Tunnel.

Brad heads over to Comer, who is in the middle of negotiations with the inmates.

BRAD
Agent Comer.

Comer looks over at him.

COMER
Yes, sir?

BRAD
Just heard from your UC agent,
Antonio Reyes. (beat) He says
that he over heard that this riot
is a distraction and that Billy
J. Tyran is using it to break out.
(beat) Iíve sent Antonio to go after
him in the Underground Tunnel and told
him weíd send reinforcements.

COMER
Good.

BRAD
What are their demands?

COMER
Theyíve demanded increase in pay
for the work they do around here.
Better food. Better beds. (beat)
The usual petty demands. (beat)
Immediate demands are A.C., water
and electricity. (beat) They also
say they have Agent Reyes and they
wonít release her until all of
their demands are made.

BRAD
Have you received confirmation that
sheís all right?

COMER
Thatís what Iím doing now.

BRAD
We donít give them anything
until we know sheís all right.

Comer nods his head and turns his attention back to the prison to continue with his negotiations.

CUT TO:

INT. UNDERGROUND TUNNEL Ė SING SING Ė DAY

Antonio quietly walks down the cemented tunnel that lies underneath the ground. Far ahead of him is Billy J. Tyran, escaping from Sing Sing. Antonio walks close to the wall and stays in the shadows not to be noticed. He stops when Billy J. turns a corner. He pulls out the radio he got from inside and radios in to Brad.

ANTONIO
(hushed)
This is Antonio.

BRAD (FILTERED)
Go ahead.

ANTONIO
Heís on the move, about a mile
into the tunnel. (beat) How
are my reinforcements coming?

BRAD (FILTERED)
Theyíre on their way now.

ANTONIO
Thanks. (beat) Iíll initiate
take down when they arrive.

BRAD (FILTERED)
Good. Keep me updated when you can.

ANTONIO
I will.

Antonio puts the radio away and continues to walk in the direction Billy J. went. But as he turns the corner, he runs right into the inmate.

BILLY J. TYRAN
You following me?

ANTONIO
Tryiní to escape too.

Billy J. smirks at him. He knows better than to believe Antonioís words.

BILLY J. TYRAN
That must be why you were
talking to the feds, right?

Antonio freezes. Shit. He heard him talking to Brad.

BILLY J. TYRAN
You arenít going to screw this
up for me, Latino. I know all
about you. I know how you helped
the feds a month ago. And I know
you are helping them now. (beat)
Do you know what I like to do with
rats like you? (beat) I like to kill them.

Before Antonio has a chance to comment or defend himself, Billy J. pulls out a hand gun and shoots Antonio in the gut. Antonio falls to the ground and Billy J. smirks at him and goes on his way, leaving Antonio on the ground to bleed to death.

CUT TO:

INT. SING SING CORRECTIONAL FACILITY Ė CONíT

Meanwhile in the prison... Comerís negotiations can be heard coming through the walls. Rafael does not like what heís hearing. There is no way heís going to let the feds know that Monica is all right until his demands are made. He paces back and forth.

SPIDER
Man, weíve got to do something.
(beat) Iím burning up in here.

RAFAEL
Iím not giving in to them.

SPIDER
It doesnít matter, remember?
Billy J. is probably out already.

RAFAEL
And if heís not? Iím a
dead man for blowing this.

Monica watches Rafael with a good eye. She can see how frustrated he is becoming.

MONICA
I suggest you give them
what they want to make this
situation pleasant for everyone.

Rafael shoots her a look. The guard, Edward, who is tied up next to Monica, shoots her a look. With anger, Rafael comes up to her and gets in her face.

RAFAEL
I thought I told you to keep
your pretty little mouth shut.

MONICA
This is a negotiation. You
give them what they want, and
they give you what you want. (beat)
Thatís how these things work. (beat)
The sooner you comply-

RAFAEL
-The sooner they bust in here and-

MONICA
-That wonít happen if you just
let them see that Iím all right.

Rafael glares at her.

Edwards looks on with fear. Why in the world is she testing his limits?

SPIDER
(after a beat; quiet)
She has a point there, Ralfie.

Rafael turns around to look at Spider.

RAFAEL
(pissed)
Who asked you?

Spider shrugs his shoulders.

 

SPIDER
I was just saying...

Rafael turns back to Monica, ignoring Spider.

 

MONICA
If you donít make contact with
them soon, they are going to start
thinking the worst and will come
in here with an ambush of SWAT agents.

Monica looks around and then back at Rafael.

MONICA (CONíT)
(no fear)
And you know what, Ralfie, I
donít see that you are prepared
for that kind of action. Are you?

Rafael glares at her, not liking her attitude.

RAFAEL
(mad Ė yet calm)
Okay Latina... youíve said enough.

Rafael glares at Monica.

RAFAEL
You want your friends to see you,
then theyíll see you.

Roughly, Rafael unties Monica and pulls her up from the ground. Edward, looks on with fear.

EDWARD
What are you doing?

RAFAEL
Iím giving the feds what they want.

Rafael puts a gun to the back of Monicaís head.

RAFAEL
If they want their FBI agent,
they can have her... in a body bag.

EDWARD
This was never part of the deal!

Monica looks over at him. Deal? What deal did this guard make with these thugs?

RAFAEL
Yeah, well the deal just changed.
(beat) Did you really think you
could trust the word of a criminal?

Rafael laughs.

Monicaís mind races. The clock. When she first saw Antonio, he kept looking at the clock. Guard shift changes. Edward was in the new shift. He must have helped this riot come to be. How else could Rafael and Spider get a hand gun so easily...

MONICA
(to Edward)
You knew about this. Didnít you?

RAFAEL
Thatís right, puta. He knew about this.

Rafael smirks.

RAFAEL
Youíre out numbered

Rafael drags Monica towards the prison doors, keeping the gun on the back of her head.

MONICA
You donít want to do this. Theyíll kill you.

RAFAEL
Shut up.

MONICA
(warning)
If you got out there with a
gun on me and with the intentions
that you have, they will gun you
down and you wonít have a-

RAFAEL
-Not with you in front of me they wonít.

MONICA
Thereís going to be a large
SWAT unit waiting for you.
(beat) You havenít made contact
with them and they think the worst.
Itís what weíre trained to do. (beat)
Listen to me, will you?

He shoves the gun harder into the back of her head threatening her. And before they know it, a SWAT unit bursts through the doors. The unit is lead by Robert Comer, who makes his way quickly over to where Rafael and Monica are. His gun is aimed right at Rafael.

COMER
DROP THE GUN!

Rafael protects himself with Monicaís body. Any bullets that will hit him will have to go through her first.

Comer looks at Monica with a look she has seen many times before while working in difficult situations in New Orleans with him. Comer looks back at Rafael.

COMER
LET HER GO!

Rafael aims his gun at Comer, about to shoot him. Monica immediately ducks out of harms way, allowing Comer to shoot Rafael, dropping him to the ground. Comer quickly grabs Monicaís arm and drags her out of the prison as the rest of the SWAT unit gets the prison under control.

CUT TO:

EXT. SING SING CORRECTIONAL FACILITY Ė CONíT

Comer walks with Monica away from the prison. Monica is in a bit of a daze everything happened so quickly. Comer stops and turns to face her. He puts a hand against on the side of her face.

COMER
Are you all right?

Monica nods her head.

MONICA
Yeah.

Brad starts to come up to them in the background. Comer pulls Monica to him and gives her a gentle kiss on the forehead. Brad stops. Whatís this about?

Monica pulls away from Comer, knowing he shouldnít have done that. Brad continues to walk up to them.

BRAD
(concerned)
Monica?

Monica looks over to him and goes up to him and gives him a hug. Brad holds her close to him and kisses her on the cheek.

BRAD
Youíre okay. Itís over.

Monica doesnít say anything and doesnít let go of him.

Brad looks up at Comer, who looks away when his eyes meet Bradís and walks away to help out in this situation. Brad can't help but wonder who Robert Comer is and why he kissed Monica.

MONICA
Whereís Antonio?

Brad looks away from Comer.

BRAD
Heís being taken to a hospital.
(beat) He got shot tracking down
one of the inmates who was trying
to escape. We found him on the ground.
(beat) Don't worry, heíll be fine.

MONICA
He knew about this, didnít he?

BRAD
Iím sure he knew about something.

Brad pulls Monica away to look at her face to face.

BRAD
Apparently, Antonio has been working
as an undercover agent.

MONICA
Undercover?

Brad nods his head.

MONICA
Wait... would that mean...

BRAD
Heís done his time.

MONICA
And he chose to go undercover?

BRAD
Iím sure heíll be able to
give better answers than me.
(beat) Letís go see him and
get away from here. (beat)
Are you all right?

MONICA
Iíll be fine. Nothing happened to
me besides a few guns to my head
and threats. (beat) Iím fine.

Monica smiles. Sheís bothered by what happened, but doesnít want to deal with it now. Sheíd rather go see her brother, heís the one who got shot.

CUT TO:

INT. NEW YORK CORRECTIONAL DEPARTMENT HOSPITAL

Brad and Monica are sitting in the waiting room of the hospital, waiting to hear from Antonioís doctor to see how he is.

MONICA
(worried for Antonio)
Was it a bad hit?

BRAD
It was in the gut. (beat)
I hate to bring this up, but-

MONICA
(reading his final thoughts)
-Why canít I ďtapĒ into how
heís doing with my ability?

Brad smiles and nods his head.

MONICA
I donít know.

BRAD
Iím sure heíll be fine, Monica.

Brad takes hold of Monicaís hand and squeezes it. Monica smiles.

Antonioís doctor comes into the waiting room and comes up to them.

MONICA
(eager)
Well?

DOCTOR
He was hit bad. Itís a good
thing he was found when he
was. This could have been fatal.
(beat) Antonio is doing well.

BRAD
Can we see him?

DOCTOR
Yeah. (beat) He has some
pain killers and needs his
rest, so donít be in there
too long.

MONICA
Thank you.

Monica gets up and pulls Brad to his feet. They walk past the doctor.

BRAD
Wait, donít we need to know
which room heís in?

MONICA
That I know.

Monica smiles back at him as they approach a closed door. She knocks quietly, and slowly opens the door to Antonioís hospital room.

INT. HOSPITAL ROOM Ė CONíT

Brad and Monica enter the room. Antonio looks over at them and smiles. He looks tired and worn out.

ANTONIO
(to Monica)
I tried to get you out of
there before it all happened.

Monica smiles at him.

MONICA
I was fine, donít worry about it.
(beat) But I am curious about something.

ANTONIO
Whatís that?

MONICA
Brad said you were a UC agent.

Antonio smiles.

ANTONIO
I didnít have a long sentence. All
I did was bank robbery. (beat) Once
my time was up, I decided that I should
completely clean up my life. And what
better way to do that, than to use my
knowledge of criminals to help get them.
(beat) To catch a criminal, you have to
become one, right? Well, Iíve been there,
seen that, done that, So why not?

MONICA
So youíre employed by the government?

ANTONIO
Yeah. (beat) I was contacted by Agent
Comer, which is how I get involved with
this situation. Apparently he knows about
my ability to blend in well with criminals,
you know? (beat) He asked me to join his
undercover team in D.C. (beat) I'll be
working at Headquarters.

Monica nods.

BRAD
That's a good UC team.

ANTONIO
I hope so. (beat) This Sing Sing
gig was a spur of the moment thing.
(beat) I donít think it was
very successful though.

Antonio smiles.

BRAD

Does this mean youíll be
able to make it to our wedding?

ANTONIO
Of course I'll be there.

Monica smiles.

MONICA
Good. (beat) Now we just have
to wish that Carlos is doing
the same thing in Kansas, but
I highly doubt that.

Monica laughs. Sheís still expecting Carlos to act up even though he promised not to, and he promised to do his time. Heís Carlos, he canít be controlled.

BRAD
The doctor didnít want us in here
long, so we better go and let you
get your rest.

Antonio nods his head.

MONICA
Weíll see you later.

ANTONIO
Bye.

Brad and Monica leave Antonioís room.

INT. HOSPITAL HALLWAY Ė CONíT

Monica wraps her right arm around Bradís left arm and walks with him down the hallway. Sheís canít help but have a smile on her face. Brad looks at her. After all that sheís been through today, sheís able to smile.

BRAD
You seem exceptionally happy
considering what happened today.

MONICA
I know.

She smiles up at Brad.

MONICA
Iím just happy about Antonio, you know?

Brad nods his head.

MONICA
I mean, for years he has been
conducting himself in illegal
activity, and finally heís cleaning
himself up. And he'll be living
close to us and working at Headquarters.

Monica sighs and smiles.

MONICA
You donít know how hard it
has been to have brothers
who break the law, Brad.
(beat) This... it just
makes me so happy.

Brad smiles at her. Heís glad that Antonio is cleaning up too. Maybe his actions will affect Carlos too. That would mean a lot more to Monica and Brad knows that.

Monica smiles to herself, feeling that the world is coming into place. After what happened with her and Scully at The Facility, this feeling is more than welcomed... she just hopes it can last forever.

Off Monica and Brad walking arm in arm down the hallway, we...
